Compensation Range

The Hari B. Varshney Business Career Centre (BCC) provides career development services and resources to UBC Sauder's 5,000+ undergraduate and graduate students. We partner with UBC Sauder students to shape and launch their careers through innovative programming, work experience, and direct connections to our business and alumni communities. This includes 1:1 career coaching/advising, job postings, company recruiting and networking events, mentorship, internship, and co-op programs.

The Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in the development and execution of the student-focused communications for the Business Career Centre to engage students with career services, resources, and opportunities.

Organizational Status
Reports to the Engagement Manager on the BCC's Service Excellence Team. The Engagement Coordinator collaborates with members of the Service Excellence Team and across the BCC, counterparts in other UBC Sauder units, the UBC Sauder Marketing and Communications unit (MarCom) and student clubs.

Work Performed- Develops and manages integrated student-focused communications that enhance student awareness and engagement with BCC's career services, resources, and activities.- Oversees the production and distribution of weekly e-newsletters to undergraduate students, ensuring content is relevant, tailored, and timely.-
- Creates, evaluates, and updates compelling student-focused communication pieces, including digital signage, e-newsletters, and presentations.- Researches and develops content for digital career resources ensuring relevance and usefulness for UBC Sauder students.- Collaborates with the MarCom team on managing a comprehensive calendar for student-focused communications, ensuring messages are engaging, tailored to the audience, and delivered via the most effective channels.- Collaborates with MarCom on developing and implementing campaigns focused on collecting employment outcome data from students and new graduates.- Monitors, analyzes, and reports on the effectiveness of communication activities and engagement with digital resources for the purposes of making strategic recommendations and adjustments.- Conducts regular outreach with stakeholder groups to gauge effectiveness of communication plans and strategies.- Provides systems expertise and technical support to BCC colleagues on career service platforms such as Symplicity and 12Twenty, as well as UBC survey tools (Qualtrics), UBC Sauder-wide platforms such as Drupal (CMS) and Campaigner (e-marketing). Monitors, reports, and addresses platform updates that impact student communications.- Adheres to communication standards and guidelines to ensure alignment with BCC tone, messaging, and UBC Sauder's brand guidelines.- Ensures that all communications and engagement activities align with the BCC's career development strategy and objectives.- Supports the hiring, training, and supervising of student and other support employees involved in communication projects.- Performs other relevant dut
