**POSITION IDENTIFICATION**:
**Position Title**:Peer Engagement Operations Coordinator

**Status**:Part Time, 20 hours per week
**Pay Range**:$28000 - $32000 salary
**DEFINITIONS**:
VTN Peer
- Someone that has completed at least one of VTN’s programs.
VTN Peer Supporter
- A VTN Peer that provides administrative and participant support on a VTN program.
**POSITION FUNCTION**:
The Peer Engagement Operations Coordinator is responsible for:
- Facilitating, and maintaining in-person VTN Peer engagement workshops and online personal development sessions.
- Facilitating, and maintaining in-person VTN Peer Supporter training workshops and online personal development sessions.
- Maintaining connection with and offering general support for VTN Peers and Peer Supporters.
- Providing necessary administrative and logístical support for the engagement of VTN peers on VTN programs and training.
**WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:
The Peer Engagement Operations Coordinator works in conjunction with the Peer Engagement and Support Manager, the Director of Operations, and other VTN staff to ensure that opportunities for ongoing engagement with VTN Peers are maintained.
**WORK PERFORMED**:
Graduate Engagement:
a. Assist the Peer Engagement and Support Manager with the administration and logistics involved in the development and facilitation of in-person VTN graduate engagement workshops and online personal development (PD) sessions.
b. Assist with the administration and logistics of interviewing VTN graduates interested in ongoing engagement for appropriateness and readiness to participate in specific ongoing graduate engagement activities.
c. Maintain connection with and offer reasonable administrative and logístical support and feedback to VTN graduates involved in ongoing engagement activities.
d. Collaborate with VTN staff in raising awareness of continued development opportunities and VTN events for VTN program graduates and Peer Supporters.
**Peer Support Management and Administration**:
a. Collaborate with VTN staff in raising awareness of continued development opportunities and VTN events for VTN program graduates and Peer Supporters.
b. Support the Operations department in scheduling Peer Supporters for VTN Programs.
b. Collaborate with the Operations department for administrative support to ongoing graduate engagement events.
c. Assist the Peer Engagement and Support Manager and VTN staff with administrative support to the Graduate Engagement and NPST budgeting.
d. Provide administrative support to maintain a database of all VTN program graduates who express interest in continued engagement with the VTN. This database will include, but not be limited to, the following info:
1. Development interests of VTN graduates.
a. Development goals
b. Interest in offering peer support on VTN programs and readiness to do so.
2. Peer supporter preferences
a. Availability, program type, peer supporter pairing, and lead team pairing.
b. Interest in speaking on VTN’s behalf at specific engagements sanctioned by theVTN.
3. The incumbent will intake, capture, and maintain data relevant to the above; and
4. The incumbent will undertake peer-related administration such as vulnerable sector checks, invoicing, etc
e. Provide administrative support to the quarterly Graduate Engagement and peer committee and townhall meetings.
f. Provide administrative support to the quarterly newsletter to the VTN community relating to current graduate events, opportunities, and testimonials.
g. Educate and support VTN peers in the administrative tasks they undertake on VTN programs (I.e. research, VAC form collection, assisting participants with expense claims)
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of individuals and deescalate any conflict or miscommunication that may occur.
- Clinical or social work background is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong group leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Desire to continuously learn and grow.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
The incumbent may work from home or from the VTN office in Vancouver, BC as they prefer. Assisting in the facilitation of ongoing Peer engagement and Peer Support workshops may require travel across Canada.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Clinical background preferred.
- Membership with a provincial regulatory body.
- Comfortable with technology and CRM software.
- Training and/or experience in group programming development.
- Training and/or experience with process focused group therapy facilitation.
- Training and/or experience with military population.
- Training and/or experience with volunteer management.
- Bilingual English/French preferred.
- Veteran preferred.
