Are you passionate about numbers, organization, and making a meaningful impact on a team? We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join us in our Surrey office. This is an in-person position, reporting directly to the Controller.

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting our accounting operations. You’ll bring your expertise (and must haves) in QuickBooks Desktop, ADP Workforce, and Beanworks AP. These tools are key to our processes, and your proficiency with them will set you up for success.

**Compensation**:
$25 - $30+ hourly

**Responsibilities**:

- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce
- Prepare and remit union dues
- Reconcile and resolve payroll questions
- Coding AP Invoices and submitting for approval to the purchaser
- Processing cheque runs and EFT payments (full cycle AP)
- Maintain vendor files and records including reconciling vendor accounts and statements
- Reconcile corporate credit cards
- File GST and PST
- Monthly bank reconciliation including posting journal entries
- Preparing job cost reports and other ad-hoc reporting as required
- Other accounting duties as may be reasonably required to benefit the company and/or as requested by Management

**Qualifications**:

- Prior accounting experience necessary
- Must have strong Microsoft Office 365 capabilities, **especially Excel**and other computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to follow direction well
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Quick learner, with ability to self-manage, organize, and prioritize
