Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensures proper documents are in place for all client shipments to facilitate import and export functions in compliance with carriers and regulatory bodies.
- Reviews shipping documentation required for shipment orders and maintains accurate records of the transactions.
- Works with the team, clients, third party logistics and sales for processing, scheduling, processing and tracking ocean and air shipments.
- Reviews estimated timelines for all bookings and ensure they are met and files are kept according to standard operating procedures.
- Investigates and conducts root cause analysis and problem resolution for imports, exports and domestic shipments in a timely manner.
- Tracks, analyzes and communicates key performance metrics to reporting manager.
- Clearly communicates with customers (internal and external) in a proactive manner to ensure excellent service delivery
- Effectively coordinates operations between all modes of transport (ocean, air, consolidation, domestic and small packaging) between third party logistics and internal Sales.
- Demonstrates proficiency in job duties by streamlining processes and procedures, follows standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and works cooperatively to provide quality customer support.
- Fills in as needed during team mate absence to ensure that the additional workload is completed to ensure constant customer satisfaction.
- Understands and adheres to company's policies and standard operating procedures.
- Provides general clerical support such as composing and typing letters, creating and maintaining file folders and filing system in organized and chronological order.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Work Experience and skills
- 7years of previous work experience in freight forwarding and experienced team leader.
- Hands on experience in processing shipping requests for shipping (air and ocean) from start to finish.
- Strong communication and presentations skills. Must possess a keen eye for details and exhibit ownership.
- CIFFA License is an asset.
- Must be a dynamic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Organized & extremely detail oriented. Must be able to pick up new concepts and learn new systems quickly.
- Working knowledge of safe lifting method. Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs

Pay: $42,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
