What You'll Do
  • Coordinate freight shipments across North America and internationally, using various modes of transport
  • Provide rate quotations, negotiate with carriers, and book transportation for clients
  • Generate and manage shipment documentation such as work orders, invoices, and bills of lading
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery, updating clients on their shipment status
  • Resolve issues such as missing documentation or lost freight, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Interact with clients and vendors via phone, email, and occasionally face-to-face meetings
  • Audit and approve vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policy
  • Support colleagues with operational tasks and provide guidance as needed
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through courses, seminars, and webinars
What You'll Bring
  • Completion of CIFFA certification or equivalent industry training (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors globally
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and other relevant software
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling invoices and rate calculations
