Photon Control Inc. designs, manufactures, and distributes a wide range of optical sensors and systems to measure temperature and position. These products improve performance and enable innovation for our customers and are used in the semiconductor and other high technology industries. Our clients provide solutions to some of the biggest semiconductor manufacturers whose products can be found in everyday electronic devices, cellphones, smart watches, TVs, and computers. We are looking for an exceptional Accounting Manager who can drive the accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end close process, provide analytical support to the Controller, help coach/mentor the accounting team, lead efficiency and process improvements, and help create a culture of success.

What you will do is:

- Responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany consolidations, and GL management to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information
- Manage month-end close and work with team members to ensure deliverables are completed within strict public company deadlines
- Prepare monthly financial analyses, reporting packages and metrics while also assisting with review of team members’ deliverables
- Educate and mentor staff on accounting guidance, financial performance, KPI’s, and other soft skills to foster a culture of professional development and success
- Drive continuous improvement by proactively reviewing and improving existing finance processes, systems, and templates to support business evolution
- Assist with development and maintenance of internal control framework to support the financial infrastructure.

What will you bring to the team, along with your critical problem-solving skills, is:

- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- 5 years of experience in finance or related role and strong technical accounting knowledge
- Self-motivation and strong organizational and time-management skills necessary to prioritize competing deadlines and adapt to rapid business changes that accompany a high-growth environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel
- Strong attention to detail and desire to investigate and understand the business drivers of financial results
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently to solve problems and analyze issues that arise
