The House of Commons’ Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Multimedia Team Lead position.

As the Multimedia Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of technical experts who plan, install, maintain, and support audiovisual (AV) equipment. Ensuring the seamless delivery of AV operations for Parliamentary events in the House of Commons as well as the Senate is a key responsibility, along with overseeing audio and broadcasting systems, video conferencing, presentation equipment, and other technical setups. You will manage the planning and delivery of technical services for events and provide high-quality support for Members of Parliament. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience managing AV operations and services.

As part of this position, you must be willing to work on site up to five days a week, weekends, shift work, early morning, daytime, and late evening shifts, and potentially be on call/overtime on short notice.

**Qualifications** Education**:

- Completion of trade school, college or university degree or diploma in a field related to audio-visual production, technical production, operation management, media arts and technology, electrical engineering, electronics or an acceptable combination of education, technical training, and experience.

**Experience**:

- 8 plus years of experience in provisioning events and AV operations;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading a team in AV operations: supporting events, broadcasting or webcasting (the experience must include performance management, scheduling and handling diverse human resources related situations);
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with partners, vendors or stakeholders;
- Experience in providing high-level client services to various distinguished clients;
- Experience working under pressure and managing stressful situations.

**Assets**:

- Experience or exposure to parliamentary procedure;
- Experience in AV production and live broadcasting;
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
