**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Division Head and the Dept. of Medicine Manager, the Division Assistant plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of the Division and its associated clinical, educational and research programs. The Division Assistant co-ordinates the daily routine of the office of the Division Head and/or physician(s). The assistant will act as the principal access point to the PM&R division - in-person, over the telephone and by correspondence, etc.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade XII plus graduation from a recognized one year secretarial or office administration course
- Minimum two (2) years' experience working in an academic medical secretarial environment required
- Medical terminology course or knowledge is required
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Analytical and decision-making skills within scope of employment
- Must be an excellent team player and be able to develop positive working relationships
- The ability to work on an independent basis with mínimal instruction and supervision is essential.
- Demonstrated high regard for quality, accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a stressful environment with multiple deadlines and concurrent activities required.
- Experience with PHS, STAR and Internet an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:

- Permanent, Full-time position, 70 hrs bi-weekly
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm - Flexible

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$21.73 - $24.31
