**Position Overview**:
As a Retail Media Sales Specialist your primary responsibility is to lead the sales process by understanding the needs of our vendors and producing sales material to support in collaboration with the marketing and planning teams. Each vendor has unique needs, and our advertising capabilities should be tailored to our vendors’ objectives; the Retail Media program offers full-serve and self-serve solutions and you will need to know when to pivot and support the best decision for each vendor.
**Position Responsibilities**
- Selling and presenting the RM+ offering to our vendor community
- Understanding of the consultative sales approach and asking RFP-filling questions to our vendors
- Thorough understanding of digital media: primarily the enterprise (programmatic) and Paid Social landscapes, and know when to use each within stages of the funnel
- Productizing new opportunities and evolving the program with new sales tactics and opportunities
- Develop and own the sales funnel driving consistent sales growth and hitting or surpassing the sales targets
- Salesforce: Understanding and willingness to learn and invest time in platform every day to manage your pipeline, while keeping your opportunities and dashboard updated daily
- Collaborating and developing a deep relationship with marketing, planning, and analytics as other internal stakeholders who are also responsible for RM+ campaigns and vendor success
- Deliver the numbers to reach and exceed sales targets working with internal stakeholders
- Managing external relationships: Retail Media programs are vendor-first initiatives, and the core focus is to drive success for our vendors, from communication all the way to delivery and final reporting
- Manage internal relationships through strong collaboration to build successful campaigns
**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 2 years media sales, planning, buying or programmatic experience with an agency, publisher, or similar
- Ability to probe vendor needs thoroughly to determine how you can help them drive sales results
- Experience being at the table or taking part of media negotiations is an asset
- Strong understanding of digital media performance and reporting
- Experience in a vendor facing role, presenting, and an understand how to handle challenges in real time
- Ability to present and simplify complex topics
- Understanding of how digital media works and the role the different channels play in the conversion / customer funnel
- Naturally curious, with an inclination to problem solve and uncover meaning
- Bias towards action and results
