Asian Market Media Specialist, Retail Media

The **Asian Market Media Specialist - PRN Canada** will lead account management and sales for PRN’s Canadian in-store retail media networks, specializing in engaging APAC market segments and leveraging cultural insights. This role is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with agencies, brands, and businesses targeting Asia-Pacific consumers in Canada, maximizing revenue opportunities, and delivering campaigns that resonate across diverse communities in this market. You will drive new business development, expand existing accounts, and provide culturally relevant media solutions while consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute sales strategies that target APAC market audiences, with a focus on culturally relevant messaging and channel selection.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the target demographic -owned businesses, brands targeting consumers, and agencies with multicultural divisions.
- Leverage deep understanding of APAC media platforms to create integrated retail media campaigns.
- Prospect and secure new advertisers from the market verticals to expand PRN’s retail media network.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative concepts and pitch materials that resonate with cultural values and consumer behaviors.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and cultural events impacting APAC markets to inform client strategies.
- Provide regular sales pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance reports to the Head of Advertising Sales.
**Education & Experience**:
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in media, marketing, advertising, or shopper marketing, ideally with multicultural or Asian-market focus.
- Experience in retail media and/or multicultural advertising.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business, marketing, communications, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:
- Demonstrated success in selling media or marketing services to brands and agencies targeting Asian market audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of Asian market media landscapes, cultural nuances, and consumer behaviors.
- Familiarity with multilingual campaigns, including execution in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
- Ability to adapt quickly to market changes in digital out-of-home (DOOH), social media, and retail environments.
- Established relationships with Asian market decision-makers in client and agency networks.
