Paytrak Payroll Services located in downtown Victoria are looking to add one member to our small office team to help us support our ever-growing client list. We currently process payroll for over 575 active businesses from Victoria and across Canada, and are looking for someone dedicated and organized to move forward with us in the role of a Payroll Clerk.
Payroll Clerks are administrative professionals responsible for maintaining payroll systems and processing paycheques according to schedule and in the correct amount. Duties include consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll databases, calculating and verifying paycheque amounts, and distributing funds to employee accounts.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Payroll Clerks use excellent mathematical and data entry skills to process pay. Duties include:
- Checking timesheets for accuracy
- Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
- Handling direct deposit requests and data
- Processing paper cheques for distribution
- Processing wage garnishments
- Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission
**Skills and Qualifications**
Skills and qualifications that a Payroll Clerk needs to succeed include:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
- Verbal and written communication
- Ability to work with a team
- Knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution
- Multitasking abilities
- Good research and analysis skills
Office hours are 9AM - 5PM and this is a fulltime position. (40 hours a week; Monday to Friday)
Rate of Pay: $17-20
Group Insurance benefits after 90 days.

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
