Systems and Operational Training Specialist

The Training Specialist is responsible for training Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supporting on-site and off-site Team Member training. You will also support the Training Team by facilitating on-site training and online webinars across multiple industry sectors (Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Automotive, etc.) As a Training Specialist, you will gain the necessary WMS functional skills to facilitate Team Members’ training classes. You will also gain knowledge of principles in Adult Learning and how to provide practical and engaging training sessions that change desired behaviours on the job.
**Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of instructional material for the delivery of blended learning solutions, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning programs, and self-study materials to maximize the learner’s experience.
- Liaise with business stakeholders to conduct practical training specifications, priority, and timeline to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Devising technical training programs according to organizational requirements.
- Determine course content according to objectives.
- Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to fully understand the business processes and requirements supported by the WMS.
- Collaborate with WMS Subject Matter Experts to ensure all learning content is updated regularly to reflect current customer requirements, processes, and technology changes.
- Provide support to other training team members.
- Work on-site and remotely during project stages, user acceptance testing, in-class training, and go-live support.
**Experience**:
- Competent understanding of Supply Chain.
- At least 2-3 years experience as a trainer or a similar role.
- Previous experience as a Team Leader/Logistics Coordinator would be preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of operational experience with strong working knowledge of Red Prairie (Blue Yonder) and Synapse.
- WMS experience. (Receive, Putaway, Replenish, Pick, Stage and Load etc.)
- High school diploma or higher - preferably.
**Competencies**:
- Proven experience as a trainer.
- Experience in designing technical course content.
- Excellent technical systems and communication skills and ability to explain tasks to others.
- Take personal ownership in learning and enhancing your knowledge of the system capabilities and offerings and expand on your training skills.
- Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills.
- Experience in designing technical course content.
- Working knowledge of MS Office. (PowerPoint, Teams, Word etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate with, work with and liaise between customers, team members (users, management, IT), internal team members and other contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Solid written and proofreading abilities with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, nights and weekends when required. (go-live support)
