Medix College is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator. In this dynamic role, you will have an immediate impact on people and embody our Core Values daily by providing day-to-day support to our students, graduates and staff.

**Position Summary**:
The Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, performing monthly vendor reconciliations, data entry and other month end duties as assigned. This includes assisting the Finance team with preparation of journal entries, mainlining balance sheet and ledgers, accounts reconciliations and assisting with monthly closing and account analysis.

**Essential Functions**
- Full cycle accounts payable functions for multi locations
- Perform quality compliance with core accounts payable criteria
- Process and review daily financial transactions into accounting software
- Administer internal PO Process for expenses and company expenditures
- Vendor statement reconciliations; new vendor setup, vendor relationships
- Post accounts payable invoices by verifying cost codes and classification of expenses
- Process vendor payments through various methods (Cheque, E-transfer, EFT, ACH and Wire)
- Print, assemble and mail out cheques
- Assist with cross-functional area within accounts payable as required
- Reconcile and post Credit Cards payments
- Assist with closing and preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements
- Set up and maintains accounts payable files and other financial records
- Other duties as requested by the Campus Director

**Position Requirements**:

- Degree/diploma in business, accounting, finance or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience in accounting will be considered)
- 2-3 years of full cycle accounts payable experience in a high volume environment is preferred
- Strong mathematical and reconciliation skills
- Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles
- Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external parties
- Strong problem-solving skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
