**Moncrief Construction Limited is looking for an electrical and powerline estimator to join our team**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Participate in preparation of tender submissions, pre-construction conceptual estimates and project schedules
- Construction estimate preparation for costs of materials, labour, sub-trades and equipment for projects based on tender contract documents
- Develop and manage schedules, resource plans, procurement, commissioning and risk mitigation
- Complete and communicate accurate, detailed documentation, including drawings, testing, schedule and budget
- Provide direction, leadership and support to all project team leads
- Develop relationships with general contractors to identify tender opportunities
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities through monitoring various sources
- Complete site-visits for clients to source potential opportunities for estimating purposes and to build relationships with customers
- Review take-offs for mathematical and technical accuracy
- Track and review addendums and incorporate into tenders
- When contracts are awarded, roll job estimates into tracking system for future monitoring and storing costs to improve the accuracy of future pricing

**Experience and Skills**:

- Must have experience with commercial construction and commercial electrical estimating
- Must have experience bidding electrical projects ranging from $50,000 to $20,000,000.
- Must have experience managing simultaneous projects and adapt easily to changing schedule priorities
- Must have strong people skills and be able to communicate technical ideas and concepts comfortably with new business contacts
- Must have a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- 5 years estimating experience is considered an asset
- Must have strong knowledge of electrical contracting
- Must have experience bidding electrical work that consists of overhead and underground electrical systems

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $140,000.00 per year

- Kenora, ON P9N 2S8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
