Product Owner

Jesta I.S. is a leading supplier of ERP software for the apparel, footwear, and soft‑goods industries. Our global client base includes many recognizable brands and continues to grow. We are seeking a **Product Owner - Wholesale System (Sales & Demand)** to join our Product team in Montreal.

**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will lead the development and ongoing enhancement of our Wholesale Sales & Demand System. As the primary liaison between business and technical teams, you will ensure scalable, efficient, and high‑impact product delivery to support wholesale operations, sales forecasting, demand planning, and order lifecycle management.

**Responsibilities**
- Own and manage the product backlog for the Wholesale Sales & Demand System, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility. Regularly refine and prioritize items to deliver maximum value, considering dependencies, effort, and impact.
- Act as the primary bridge between business and technology, gathering requirements from cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Engineering, QA, Finance, and Operations, to shape a shared product vision and drive consensus.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable user stories, epics, and process workflows with well-defined acceptance criteria, ensuring development teams can deliver effectively and with mínimal ambiguity.
- Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop functional and technical specifications that reflect both strategic objectives and operational needs. Ensure that specifications are realistic, achievable, and well-communicated
with technical teams.
- Work together with developers during sprint execution, ensuring alignment, clarifying requirements in real time, and removing obstacles to progress. Be ready to support the development process from conception to delivery.
- Collaborate closely with QA teams to define test plans, ensure comprehensive test coverage, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles. Track and triage bugs or inconsistencies as part of the product lifecycle.
- Monitor and analyze product performance post-deployment by reviewing system metrics, end-user feedback, and issue reports. Use insights to propose enhancements, backlog improvements, or fixes to ensure system reliability and usability.
- Ensure integration alignment with interconnected platforms such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), WMS (Warehouse Management System), and Finance systems. Act as a point of contact for managing cross-system dependencies and data flows.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in wholesale, sales forecasting, demand planning, and enterprise system integration to influence long-term product strategy and roadmap planning.
- Support training and documentation efforts by working with internal stakeholders to ensure new features and changes are well-communicated and properly supported across the organization.

**Qualifications**

**Education & Certification**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification is an asset

**Knowledge & Experience**
- 5+ years as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in enterprise software
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management
- Hands‑on experience in wholesale systems, sales forecasting, demand planning, or supply chain
- Proficiency with PL/SQL and relational databases (Oracle preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP, EDI, and OMS integration workflows
- Prior experience writing clear business and technical requirements
- Exposure to retail/wholesale software modules (Merchandising, Forecasting, Order Management)
- Experience collaborating with remote or cross‑regional teams

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication for both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative in cross‑functional settings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Comfortable with APIs, XML, data mapping, and enterprise integration
- Resilient under pressure and committed to delivering high‑impact results
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (verbal and written)

**Additional Information**
- Occasional travel to client sites (valid travel documents required)
