Join us as a Data Management and Reporting Analyst at MCC, where you'll play a key role in collecting, organizing, and safeguarding our data. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Technology, you'll collaborate with project teams across the organization to enhance data quality and ensure our data tells the story it’s meant to. If you have a sharp analytical mind, a knack for detail, and the ability to transform data into strategic actions, we want you on our team
**What you’ll do**
- Establish, implement, manage and continuously improve best practices, in collaboration with MCC governance representatives.
- Reduce duplicative efforts by promoting best practices.
- Foster adoption of data-related processes, standards, and security guidelines.
- Collaborate to analyze and document business requirements.
- Participate in the design and development of MCC Data Governance Framework model
- Architect, design, develop and implement analytical solutions involving multiple data sources including MS SQL Server (enterprise, hosted).
- Design and implement data marts and data with different solutions.
- Facilitate communication with business data owners.
- Provide a deep understanding of data management best practices and shares that knowledge across the organization.
**What you need to succeed**
**Experience**
- 3-5 years of experience in Information Architecture, Database Information Management, Data Migration, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Data Analytics Solutions
**Technical Skills**
- Experience using business intelligence and automation platforms such as:
- Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI), MS Power Platform, MS Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agent, Power Automate)
- .NET Applications, MS Azure, MS Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks
- Java, JavaScript
- Knowledge and experience in managing data sources and reporting tools using:
- MS SQL Server, MS Data bricks
- Strong knowledge and experience in development of online solutions and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience employing modelling tools for the purpose of process modelling and analysis
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW)
- Predictive Analytics
- Business Intelligence (BI)
- Big Data Analytics, (AI)
- SharePoint repositories
**Competencies**
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaborative relationships with business and technical teams
- Excellent communications, including technical written skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration
- Highly organized, analytical, process oriented and methodical
- Highly developed attention-to-detail to detect and solve problems
- Ability to manage multiple changing priorities, including under pressure and while working to deadlines
- Demonstrates judgement, initiative, resourcefulness, tact, and discretion
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
**Education**
- A bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- The following would be considered an asset
- Microsoft Certified Analyzing Data with Microsoft Power BI
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Data and Business Intelligence
- Database Management
- Scrum / Agile
**Language**
- Advanced oral and written skills in English are required, with oral and written skills in French considered an asset
