**Domclean Limited** is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Company to take on day-to-day operations and manage the overall accounting department \ system. We are a long-established Brantford, Ontario firm providing contract cleaning services to a wide variety of customers and buildings throughout Ontario. A division of Domclean Limited, **Dominion Equipment & Chemical,** is a distributor of cleaning chemicals, equipment and supplies. Our combined customers include schools, universities, hospitals, commercial office buildings and manufacturing facilities to list a few. This is a full-time, "In-Office" position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Reporting to executive management you will be responsible for: - Accurate processing of full-cycle A/P and related accounting function - Issue timely and complete monthly financial statements for management - Prepare government returns, remittances and payments including HST and WSIB - Oversee A/R to ensure transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and actively follow-up on outstanding balances - Ensure that all regular financial reconciliations are completed. Investigate and resolve any outstanding discrepancies - Working knowledge and skills to assist with IT resolutions an asset - Various other accounting functions / special projects as needed **Qualifications**: - 3 to 5 years in a similar accounting role in a private firm - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Accuracy and attention to detail a must - Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Exceptional organizational skills - High level of initiative and professionalism; you will actively participate in the success of the organization - Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet firm deadlines **Education**: Post - secondary education in Finance/Accounting an asset. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $62,000.00-$70,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday **Education**: - DCS / DEC (preferred) **Experience**: - Accounting: 3 years (required) - Financial Reporting: 3 years (required) **Location**: - Brantford, ON (preferred) Work Location: In person
