**_VPI provides programs and services on behalf of Employment Ontario. Employment Ontario is funded by the Ontario Government to support jobseekers and employers at no cost. Together, we understand the life stabilization needs and employment goals of the job seeker and will develop an individual plan, focusing on skills enhancements through training, job preparation, career development and support through the first 12 months of employment._**
**_ VPI has been delivering employment programs for more than 30 years. We are based in Mississauga and provide services at 17 locations across Southern Ontario._**

**What We Are Looking For**:
Full Time **Employment Services, Intake Coordinator** in our Hamilton branch
**Key Job Functions**
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our services, eligibility to access programs that we administer through Employment Ontario, and how we can support the individual needs of jobseekers.
- With a focus on job seekers that have higher barriers and are furthest from the labor market, including individuals from key inclusion groups.
- Responsible to greet and welcome all clients to the branch. Reach out and respond to all inbound inquiries through various portals and incoming telephone calls. Through active listening you will understand and respond to the jobseeker’s needs, providing a clear explanation of the free individual support that is provided through Employment Ontario.
- Carry out other business initiatives and administrative tasks, as required.
- Consistently meet and exceed activity goals and objectives, reporting to the Branch Manager.

**Education, Knowledge, Experience**
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency with computers, internet, MS Outlook
- Minimum 1 year experience working with organizations preferably in the service sector managing client relationships considered an asset
- Minimum 1 year experience in an inbound call center, preferable in-service sector considered an asset
- Experience working with new technologies and automation
- Ability to maintain acceptable performance standards including effectiveness, efficiency, and quality
- Excellent verbal communication skills with exceptional phone manner
- Experience with Objection handling considered an asset
