**What to expect**
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for administering the Canadian and USA payroll function ; to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.

This position is based in Montreal, and is a hybrid.

**Once you join our team, you will...**
- Process, reconcile and audit bi-weekly payroll for Canada and US employees.
- Carry out reimbursement requests related to CNESST files.
- Perform remittances related to payroll (RRSP, alimony, 401K etc.).
- Make changes and additions to group insurance premiums when required.
- Manage time banks, sick leaves, vacations, and unpaid absences in connection with HR management system and Payroll system and in support of the Finance team.
- Support the payroll requests from the employees, government compliances.
- Support year end processes i.e., year-end adjustments, year-end tax statements and review of year-end tax filing information).
- Participate in the preparation of year-end audit files related to payroll.
- Participate in the implementation of payroll related information projects.
- Prepare a variety of ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Perform any other reasonable duties that may be required.
- Basic Accounting experiences in Accounts payable and Accounts receivable are assets.

**Skills & Experience**
- 2+ years of experience in Payroll in the United States and Canada
- Fluent in English; French is functional
- Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset)
- Knowledge of US payroll and payroll taxes (an asset)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple project assignments in a deadline-driven environment
- Take Ownership of the responsibilities and work autonomy
