We are currently seeking a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in the payroll field and gain hands-on experience under the guidance of our current Payroll Specialist.

Location: Remote with the occasional in office attendance
Employment Type: Full-time
Language Requirement: Bilingual (French & English)

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in processing payroll for multiple clients/employees
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits
- Maintain and update employee records and payroll information
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from clients and employees
- Support with preparing payroll reports and summaries
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations
- Coordinate with HR and accounting teams to verify timesheets, vacation, and sick leave
- Assist in year-end tax form preparation (T4s, RL-1s, etc.)
- Help track and implement updates related to payroll legislation and taxation changes
- Support audits and payroll reconciliations as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll data with discretion
- Contribute to the improvement of payroll systems and procedures
- Retrieve and compile data reports to support payroll processing and analysis
- Assist the current payroll specialist with mandate projects assigned by the President of TFCI
- Tracking time spent on each client

**Requirements**:

- DEC or AEC in Accounting, Payroll Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in payroll or accounting (internships count)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Nethris, Dayforce, etc.) is an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment
