**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a **Planning & Controls Assistant** Co-op Student **to join the Planning & Controls team in **Sudbury** where they will be working on North Atlantic Projects Group - Planning & Controls Team.

This is a **12-16 month-fixed term co-op** position starting in January 2025.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Assist in the entry of data to support key processes in the ERP system and work with data management for Power BI reporting.
- Pull together and analyze data for evaluation of existing processes and opportunities for process improvement and support the routines for Planning & Controls Functions
- Report up to Regional and Senior Managers for key metrics on an adhoc basis
- Perform a variety of different tasks across Planning & Controls to cover for absences.
- Assist with the setup of newly established ERP / Project Management Systems.

**About You**

**Education**:

- Enrolled in a co-op program for a college degree in **Mining Engineering** program

**Experience**:

- Previous work experience in an industrial setting would be an asset.

**Skills**:

- Follow Vale’s Safety Policies, Programs and Legislative Standards, must be obsessed with safety and risk
- Strong Computer, Written and Oral skills
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment
- Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work
- Develop skills and abilities related to the provision of engineering to Ontario Operations
- Ensure compliance to the applicable regulations, standards and guidelines
- Maintain a high level of professional conduct
- Complete assigned projects safely and on time. Project work may include engineering document preparation and review, input into the development of project systems, data analysis and reporting, scope preparation, project monitoring and reporting.
