How do we work?

Join us in Toronto and become part of our global PR & Social Media Team, collaborating with colleagues working from London, Singapore, Krakow and Warsaw offices As our new Market Analyst, reporting to the Global Editorial Lead, you will deliver crucial market commentary and trader content for North America. If you are passionate about trading, have a knack for technical analysis, can read charts like an open book, and predict market moves - this is the job for you

You will be hired as an Independent Contractor.

Independent Contractors are required to operate as a business entity (company/sole proprietorship) to enter into a Consulting Contract with OANDA.

In this role, you will:
- Deliver compelling and in-depth market commentary content written by a trader for traders, supplemented with charting.- Create beginner educational articles, through explaining how to build good trading strategies but also expert-level concepts or historical trends.- Host online and on-site seminars or in-person workshops and events for Clients and Prospects (up to 20%).- Cooperate with a global Marketing Team to provide views or create content surrounding specific macroeconomic events.- Work with a Social Media Team to develop multimedia content for social media (such as X, META and YouTube) from time to time (up to 20%).

What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?- Min. 3 years of experience in creating of high-quality, in-depth financial markets content (capital markets in trading or research).- Great understanding and knowledge of macroeconomics.- Fluent English and French (preferably Canadian).- Strong technical analysis abilities including great charting skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a confident presentation style.- Digitally savvy and interested in social media and how search engine optimisation (SEO) helps reaching the audience.- Self starter with open mind and willingness to experiment.
