In 1964 Battlefield Press opened in Stoney Creek, beside Battlefield Park, hence the name. Battlefield moved to Burlington in 1989 and has always been known as a productive, high-quality print and finishing house.

FOLDER OPERATOR SUMMARY: To operate Stahl and Horizon Folders, learn material handling, machine maintenance and job production.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setup, run, maintain Stahl folding equipment
- Setup, run, maintain Horizon AFC-564 folding equipment
- Setup, run, maintain Polar 110 Guillotine
- Execute paper finishing tasks in a priority sequence provided by production management.
- Examine printed work for defects or anomalies that are substandard to the company’s quality standards.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area.
- Log and record time/supplies used on each job through job logging software.
- Meet productivity goals when proper training is completed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Not limited to duties as described above.

Skills + Qualifications:

- Must be both familiar and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act).
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Ability to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Physically fit enough to lift, push, stack a 50lb box
- Ability to take initiative
- Good communication skills
- Must have transportation and ability to be at work on time
- Strong technical trouble-shooting skills
- Previous bindery experience is required

Qualifications and Education
- Grade 12 or acceptable experience.
- On-the-job training required and/or related experience operating folders, guillotines, or other equipment utilized at Battlefield Press.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
