- The Technical Lead, Variable Compensation will oversee the technical needs of the VC team to ensure the accurate, efficient and customer focused delivery of variable compensation payments and statements. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business Systems Analysis - Variable Compensation, the incumbent will consult with the team, vendor and internal partners to ensure automation of data feeds; accuracy of payment and accrual calculations; addition of new products, companies and sales plans; and accurate and timely reporting. The Technical Lead will also be responsible for the creation and detailed analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual performance reporting on all compensation plans. In addition, the Technical Lead will provide technical education on existing and new technologies as needed.**You Are Good At**:

- Completes business analysis and requirements documentation on new/changes to variable compensation plans, ensuring compliance with vendor system capabilities.
- Updates system formulas, plan document and report templates, customizing to meet customer needs.
- Manages system Quality Assurance by developing test plans, test cases and overseeing testing activities.
- Provides Project Management on system sub-projects for larger projects such as annual compensation re-design, acquisitions, automation of new processes.
- Creates analytical reports to assist in management decision making on issues like plan performance, accrual accuracy and plan demographics.
- Works closely with the vendor to understand and influence upcoming releases and to ensure resolution to reported issues.
- Consults with team members on system issues and provides education on upcoming system changes.
- Represents VC on projects with other finance team members providing guidance on system issues, upcoming changes, data feeds and analytics.
- Contributes to the ongoing improvement of department processes and customer service through the participation in one or more HPT projects during the year.

**What It Takes**:

- Working knowledge of business analysis methodologies, quality assurance and project management.
- Financial systems/analyst experience an asset
- Experience with Xactly Incent, Xactly Analytics
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 - especially Excel (intermediate to advanced level); ability to work with large data sets.
- 5 years of Business Analysis/Quality Assurance experience with compensation/finance systems
