Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village is seeking for new members to serve on the volunteer Governance Board of Directors. The Board is legally responsible for the governance of the affairs of Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village. The Board is responsible for the establishment of its policies, and shall delegate day-to-day operational responsibilities to the Chief Executive Officer.

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**

The Board of Directors is currently seeking a board member to fill the role of Director with previous Board experience or a desire to gain Board experience, and an appreciation of not-for-profit governance. The Board of Directors will benefit from your experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

- Not-for-profit governance / Government Relations
- Financial Management
- Human Resources
- Fund Development / Fundraising
- Legal

Board Members must be at least the age of majority, and reside and/or work in the Niagara Region where Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village operates.

**TIME COMMITMENT**:
Board members must commit to serving a for a min of 3-year term and willing to consider serve up to three (3) terms.

Attend and contribute to a monthly board meeting (approximately 2 hours per month). Board does not meet July/August and December. Meetings are held via zoom with one or two meetings onsite throughout the year.
- Participation in external community activities and events that contribute to increasing Niagara Ina Grafton’s visibility and good reputation.
- Participation in monthly board meetings.
- Support fundraising activities for organization
- Remain informed of the programs and services provided by the organization and publicly support them.

As a not-for-profit, charitable organization and provider of services to seniors in the Niagara Region for over 60 years, Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village now encompasses two sites - St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Operating since 1959, the Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village site sits on 15 acres of well-manicured grounds and is located on Linwell Road in the north end of St. Catharines. The Niagara-on-the-Lake site, known as Stone Road Village, opened in 2012 and is located on Hunter Road at the corner of Niagara Stone Road.

Facilities at these two sites house over 500 seniors. At Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village, seniors live either in rental or rent-geared-to-income apartments, life lease bungalows or apartments, bedsitter rooms, or long-term care home. At Stone Road Village, life lease apartments are available for active seniors.

Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village is one of the largest providers of services for seniors in Ontario. Several levels of care are provided at the St. Catharines site from completely independent living, assisted living and long-term care.

Niagara Ina Grafton also provide all frozen and hot meals to Meals on Wheels from Niagara through to Hamilton region through our Satellite Meal Service program. We are continually looking at opportunities for growth and improvement.
