Overall Accountability

The Business Manager, International Students, monitors all accounting functions and reporting on fiscal activity for the International Students Education Program.

Specific Accountabilities
- Responsible for reconciliation of the international student systems to the District’s main financial system.
- Oversees and manages setup and collection of international student tuition and other fees.
- Analyzes international student fees to determine earned and unearned revenue to be represented in the District’s audited financial statements.
- Reviews commissions paid to agents for completeness, and that payments are aligned with contract terms.
- Assesses refund submissions for reasonableness and adherence to District policy before preparing for approval by the Manager, Revenue and Treasury
- Compiles and analyzes data to prepare various reports, summaries, and analyses.
- Provides input into the financial policies regarding international student fees and refunds.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree with Accounting major, and/or a recognized Accounting designation, or
- Two (2) year Accounting diploma with a minimum of two (2) years’ related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft, True North, and Flywire
- Knowledge of District policies related to the International Student Education Program
- Well organized and able to multi-task in a busy work environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
