North Vancouver, Canada Illuminate Counselling Full time

Join our growing team We are looking for a Registered Clinical Counsellor who shares our passion in supporting individuals and couples through common life challenges. This is a part-time contractor, hybrid position ( in-person & virtual):

- **Virtual** → Work remotely using video counselling through the Jane platform or telephone. Your schedule for virtual work can be quite flexible.
- **In-person** → Use of our office space in North Vancouver. Your schedule for this will need to fit office availability, but there is some flexibility with this.
- **Clinical Counsellor role**:_
- Ability to initially provide 5-10 hours peer week counselling clients with a variety of presenting issues, with the opportunity to grow from there
- Ability to provide some evening and/or weekend sessions required.
- Populations served: individuals and couples (mainly young professionals).

- Monthly peer mentorship meetings with our friendly Illuminate Counselling team (via video) to support your professional development
- Access to the team WhatsApp chat for general questions and informal supervision.
- Ability to consult with the clinic owners, who are practicing clinical therapists, for timely supervision as needed.
- Professional exposure through Illuminate website, social channels, and online directories.
- Use of Jane Practice Management Software (online booking, online schedule, billing, secure note-keeping, secure video session platform).
- Opportunities to contribute to social media and/or product development.
- Holds a Masters in Counselling (or equivalent) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in good standing with the BCACC
- Has a minimum of 1-5 years counselling experience (can be agency, non-profit, or private practice setting)
- Is considered an independent practitioner who will manage their own caseload and client concerns, with the opportunity for peer supervision as needed.
- Will provide short and long-term counselling for individuals and couples.
- Will provide referrals as appropriate to address client needs.
- Will assess for safety concerns and respond appropriately according to their registering body’s guidelines.
- Will maintain complete clinical documentation for clients based on established standards, completed in a timely manner

We are open to hiring a newer graduate who is keen to learn and grow with us, especially if they bring with them complementary experience, excellent clinical skills, or additional training.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-20 per week

**Salary**: From $68.00 per hour
