SUMMARY
The Project Management in Construction Bridging Program is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development (MLITSD), is a collaborative initiative developed by Achēv, Humber College, and employer partners. The bridging program aims to support internationally trained individuals with education and work experience backgrounds in construction project management, to obtain employment in construction project management in Ontario.
The Lead Employer Liaison/Facilitator, reporting to the Program Manager, will be responsible for delivering program activities. This includes building employer connections, advocating for internationally trained professionals, recruitment and retention, facilitating workshops, conducting assessments, providing one-on-one coaching, evaluating projects, and maintaining accurate data in accordance with Achēv and MLITSD reporting requirements.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Employer Connections and Project Implementation**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive job placement program for program participants
- Foster meaningful and impactful relationships with community-based employers specializing in Project Management, Construction.
- Connect successful project graduates with eligible employers to help the graduates secure and retain project management entry-level roles in welcoming and safe work environments.
- Prepare participants for job opportunities through resume building, interview preparation, career coaching, and other resources to enhance employability and business and professional development skills.
- Conduct ongoing promotion, outreach, engagement, and collaboration with Humber College and employer partners to enhance and develop training and learning activities that enable the development of critical skills required for employment in Project management, Construction.
- Where required, provide employers with sensitivity/diversity training and information on accommodation needs.
- Conduct monitors and provide coaching and support during the placement, including identifying and resolving workplace issues that may affect the participant’s success both during and after the placement.
- In conjunction with the Program Manager, review workshop schedule and ensure timely delivery of employability skills training workshops and adjust, where needed to meet participant needs.
- Assist in the ongoing development and effective implementation of program-related policies and procedures to ensure the follow-through of program guidelines.
- Provide supported referral and access to other services, including settlement resources and job search supports.

**Recruitment and Outreach**:

- Conduct outreach to engage and recruit ITI’s for the program, supporting participants’ selection and enrollment. The outreach and awareness campaigns will promote career opportunities in Project Management, Construction.
- Conduct individualized learning, pre-placement, and needs assessments for each participant to further understand their education and career goals and their unique barrier(s).
- Develop individualized plans for participants for appropriate learning activities and action plans for employment and career goals.
- Develop and deliver outreach-oriented presentations to potential community partners in addition to other outreach strategies to ensure consistent program visibility and relationship development in the community.
- Implement the planned marketing strategies among community partners and at community events.

**Reporting and Communication**:

- Conduct program evaluations at key points/milestones, collate and maintain program statistics and narrative information in Achēv’s CRM database.
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports as required by Achēv and MLITSD for the Program Manager’s review.
- Liaise with clients as well as partners (Humber College and employer partners) in adherence to Achēv’s privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Assess and address project concerns, in conjunction with the Program Manager, in a timely manner.
