**Key Responsibilities**
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and other legal documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee the proper execution and administration of contracts, ensuring that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations and responsibilities.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential legal and commercial risks associated with contracts. Develop strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.
- Ensure that all contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and project requirements, and that any changes or amendments are documented and agreed upon by all relevant parties.
- Manage contract disputes and claims resolution, collaborating with legal counsel when necessary to resolve issues and minimize financial and legal exposure.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts, including amendments, correspondence, and contractual communications.
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to negotiate favorable contract terms while protecting the company's interests.
- Oversee vendor and subcontractor agreements, ensuring that they align with project goals and contractual requirements.
- Monitor contract performance, including milestones, deliverables, and key obligations, and take necessary actions to address deviations or delays.
- Review and assess the impact of change orders and modifications on project contracts. Ensure that changes are properly documented and executed in accordance with contract terms.
- Facilitate dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation, in coordination with legal counsel when disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation.
- Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory changes affecting the construction industry and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
- Prepare and provide regular contract management reports to executive management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and potential issues.
**Key Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, law, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in a contracts management role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
