Compensation based on experience
**The Yard Staff Role**:This position is an integral part of our operation, and focuses primarily on the safe, effective and accurate operation of the stone yard. Our Yard Staff enjoy assisting customers, delivery drivers and team peers to ensure that all stone orders are correct and that the yard is tidy, accessible, and well organized. Our Yard Staff take pride in the accuracy of order completion, and the tidy appearance of their equipment and tools.
**The Yard Staff Responsibilities**:
- Actively participates daily in our Health and Safety Program, Policies and Procedures
- Ensures that yard equipment is circle checked (with follow up as required) and tidy every day
- Accurately processes and completes all product orders - whether loaded or unloaded in our yard
- Maintains the yard laneways and skidded displays to ensure all product is easily located and accessed
- Proactively identifies and reports low inventory as appropriate
- Build positive customer relationships and trust in the company brand
**The Results We See From Great Yard Staff**:
- An exemplary Health and Safety Record and an absence of ‘near-miss’ incidents
- Clear and courteous communication with customers, drivers and the team.
- Well maintained and neatly presented equipment and machinery
- High level of order completion efficiency and absence of ‘call-backs or costly order corrections
- A professionally presented, easily accessible, well organized yard
- An absence or limited occurrence of back orders or out-of-stock items
**The Qualifications**:
- Physically fit, willing and capable of lifting stones and pavers up to 25kg.
- High School Graduate
- Forklift and loader operator experience is an asset
**Yard Staff Required Skills**:
- Able to read, write and clearly communicate verbally in English
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions, 40-50 hours/week
- Able to report to work on time, and as scheduled for every shift
- Arrived daily at work prepared with appropriate clothing, food and refreshments to sustain themselves for the day

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
