**About**:
Client is a contracting company based out of Kitchener, ON, that specializes in remediation of contaminated sites via the injection of chemicals into the subsurface, and the aboveground treatment of groundwater. Vertex maintains a warehouse for the storage of a variety of chemicals and specialty remediation equipment.

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Lead who can maintain current operational demands, as well as implement new organizational processes and procedures to meet the needs of a growing and dynamic company.

**Overview**:
Lead warehouse operations for a specialized contracting company

Responsible for shipping & receiving, equipment scheduling & maintenance, and chemical tracking & inventories.

Lead warehouse organizational efforts by initiating, implementing, and enforcing warehouse processes and procedures with field and office staff.

**Job Functions**:
Maintain interior warehouse/shop and yard in a clean and organized state.

Coordinate shipping, receiving, and stocking of inventory items.

Manage inventory levels by conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling with database system.

Maintain proper storage of chemical items, in accordance with SDS requirements.

Maintain equipment in good working order via regular scheduling of service (internal servicing or external vendors)

Work with field staff to prepare for projects (e.g., preparing equipment, picking chemicals, loading/unloading trailers)

Support field staff with on-site project issues (e.g., deliver replacement pumps & supplies to work sites, complete on-site troubleshooting of equipment problems)

Delegate tasks to other staff, with clear communication, and consistent follow-up

Participate in regular Warehouse/Operations meetings.

Identify and implement organization changes that can improve warehouse workflows.

Work safely in accordance with Vertex workplace health & safety procedures

**Requirements**:
Valid G driver’s license and insurable

Warehouse experience (5+ years)

Ability to lift 25 kg.

Degree, technical diploma in

Good computer literacy manufacturing/warehouse

Forklift license is an asset management is an asset.
