Guelph, Canada Goric Canada, Inc. Full time

Who we are:
Although our company is small, we have big plans and consider ourselves progressive in how we work. We are working to streamline work flows so that we can work smarter as a team. We not only believe in a work-life balance, we try to live it. We’ve put policies in place like half day Fridays in the summer and we encourage walking-meetings and taking lunch away from the computer. We expect employees to take their vacation and help each other with covering the work while away. We do this by working as a team, having open communication and pushing to grow our company at a sustainable rate. We want our work environment to be pleasant, where we contribute with our strengths, and feel proud of the work that we’ve done, for children and communities around the country, as well as ourselves. We are a group that values diversity and the strength it provides; we know that representation matters.

What we do:
Goric is an entrepreneurial company with a long history in the commercial playground industry. We import and distribute European designed and manufactured playground equipment throughout Canada and the United States. This newly created role will specialize and focus on supporting custom playground projects and coordinating marketing initiatives.

Our clients are largely landscape architects who include our playground equipment in their projects for public spaces across Canada and the United States. In each project, our unique, sculptural playgrounds are an engaging place for children and are designed to inspire.

Who you are:
You will be a good fit for the position if you are serious about your work, deadline driven and dedicated to accuracy. You don’t just love organizing details but you thrive on finding discrepancies and question possible errors or omissions. You have that unique combination of technical/organizational thinking but also enjoy being creative. You appreciate having a variety of tasks and learning more so that you can make a direct impact on the growth and success of the company. You enjoy explaining complex information to clients and connecting the dots between a conceptual idea and the final product. You have the experience and resourcefulness to work independently but you enjoy working in a small group. You’re looking to put down roots so that you can see positive outcomes of the work that we do over the long term.

What you will do:

- Support and coordinate special/custom projects
- gather and manage drawings, specifications and technical details, installation instructions and liaise between the client and manufacturer.
- Coordinate and spearhead other projects to support sales and marketing
- Provide direct product consultation to customers before, during and after order
- Participate in evaluating playground equipment for ASTM/CSA safety compliance, independently and with the team (training provided)

Experience requirements:

- Project management (at least two years)
- Working in the landscape design, construction, or architecture industries
- Working in a technical sales/customer service role with an extensive product line (ideally B2B)
- Working in small office environment with less than 25 employees
