**Role and Responsibilities** The incumbent will be playing a central role in sales operations of the Civil Simulation Products business unit. - Accountable to lead proposal development between Marketing Kick-Off and Bid Submission - Accountable for the definition of the overall Bid Strategies that are executable and profitable for CAE. - Ensure technical proposals are in line with the product and obsolescence strategy. - Act as an expert in support his team with their technical solutions for complex flight training devises - Responsible for the definition of system architecture and high level requirements toward engineering design functions. - Validate and challenge and cost estimates for engineering and manufacturing labor, materials, subcontracts and vendor data, parts & equipment - Interface with key players of CAE’s civil business such as Sales, Business Development (BD), Pricing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Strategic Sourcing and Finance and with other major Stakeholders/SMEs to communicate proposal scope of work and associated estimates to obtain inputs and get buy-in - Ensure the communication of Lessons Learned after bid submission for selected proposals **Requirements**: - University degree in engineering, plus at least ten years of related experience in the industry, or an equivalent combination of education & experience. - Customer focus: Excellent communication skills, dedicated to meeting client’s expectations (internal or external), sensitive to concerns with various stakeholders and cultures (internal and external). - Superior troubleshooting skills. - Ability to develop and facilitate innovation within the team. - Experience in dealing with very complex, multidisciplinary projects and cultures in various global locations. - Experience in planning and/or project management and/or leading a technical proposal team is desired. - Ability to effectively coordinate planning, schedule and cost control, with emphasis on KPI reporting. - Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, lead and motivate a multi-functional team. - Technical knowledge: deep knowledge of CAE products and services portfolio. - Must be able to demonstrate a great sense of flexibility and adaptability. - Ability to quickly develop relationships with our customers and key suppliers. - Bilingualism in both French and English is required.
