Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and organized Shop Supervisor to oversee our machine assembly operations. As a hands-on leader, you will coordinate and supervise a team of up to 20 individuals, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks. Your strong organizational skills and technical expertise in machine assembly will be crucial in maintaining a smooth workflow, meeting production targets, and ensuring the highest quality standards.
**Responsibilities**:
- Team Leadership: Led, motivated, and supervised a team of up to 20 machine assembly technicians. Provide guidance, support, and training to optimize individual and group performance.
- Task Coordination: Organize and assign daily and weekly tasks to team members based on production schedules and priorities. Ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with production targets and customer requirements. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, such as engineering and procurement teams, to ensure the availability of resources and materials needed for assembly projects. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.
- Workflow Management: Monitor the overall workflow in the shop, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict adherence to quality control procedures, ensuring that all assembled machines meet specified standards and customer requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance personnel to schedule and prioritize equipment maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring the required tools and resources are available.
- Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the shop environment, ensuring all team members follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Performance Tracking: Track and monitor individual and team performance metrics, providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
- Problem-Solving: Address any operational issues or conflicts, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and effective communication to reach resolutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities, proposing and implementing innovative ideas to enhance productivity and quality.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including reports on output, quality, and any incidents. Generate regular reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant vocational training in machine assembly preferred.
- Proven experience in machine assembly, with a strong understanding of assembly techniques and processes.
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with the ability to effectively lead and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of assembly tools, equipment, and machinery, with the ability to troubleshoot and guide team members.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and the ability to enforce strict adherence to quality standards.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- We have demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to promote a safe working environment.

**Salary**: $19.42-$29.80 per hour
