**Job Description**:
The Floor Supervisor will be involved in all departments of store operations including sales, customer service, stocking, merchandising, and cashier. This position also serves as the key resource for customers and the store manager. Must consistently provide the highest standard of customer service while keeping focused on team objectives and excel in individual sales. The Floor Supervisor will also have the responsibility of opening and closing the store as a key holder which also includes performing the cash out and handling of cash at the end of day. The Floor Supervisor will work closely with the manager to report on inventory, stocking and organizing of the sales floor, and merchandising of the store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Top priority is ensuring high levels of customer service, sales and support
- Must be able to converse with customers on a variety of outdoor activities
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures
- Work in partnership with Store Manager to merchandise product including set up, lay out and maintenance of displays and store stock.
- Lift and move product and restock merchandise as necessary - Be aware of stock levels and notify Manager when items need to be reordered
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
- Responsibility of being a key holder that will perform the procedures of opening and closing the store
- Must be able to work as a team and give direction to other staff & management to fulfill daily duties
- Must know how to balance cash out sheet at the end of the day - Will help customers with special orders and warranty claims

Qualifications:

- Retail experience in a fast-paced specialty store environment
- Managerial/Supervisor experience an asset but not necessary
- Strong work ethic with a positive, energetic approach and attention to detail
- Commitment to driving sales and building/solidifying a customer base, while maintaining performance levels in accordance with The Prairie Summit Shop and The North Face's values
- Excellent customer service and selling skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication & computer skills
- A knowledge and passion for the outdoors is a must

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: starting at $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
