**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Manager Health Records, this position provides analytical support to Health Information Management for purposes such as data analysis, statistical reporting, benchmarking activities, developing and generating queries, preparing and compiling reports and technical documents utilizing various software and tools as well as all privacy and regulatory requirements. This position will also be responsible for completing daily data quality, monthly operational reports for the Medical Advisory Committee as well as provide onsite education to physicians. Using a keen eye for detail, monitor and analyze various reports for discrepancies in deficiencies, and investigate audit trails for chart completion.
**Education**:
- Completion of a university degree program (B.Sc., B. Comm) and/or professional designation program
- Canadian Health Information Management Certification (CHIMA) an asset
**_Experience:_**
- _Minimum of 2 years working with health information in a healthcare organization_
- _Database management skills, including advanced skills with SQL, Crystal Reports or SSRS reporting_
- _Proficient with Meditech Expanse Health Information Management (HIM) module_
- _Advanced computer skills in spreadsheet, database, graphics and word processing programs is required, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio_

- _Experience with health records data and its uses (CIHI, CCO, MOHLTC)_

**_Responsibilities:_**
- _Skill in analysis; verification and quality control procedures; and in-depth knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse, Excel and other statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Access), data visualization software, and word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)_
- _Exceptional communication and human relations skills in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders from diverse disciplines, deliver education/training, present information, coordinate and support project teams, and participate as an effective team member in a multidisciplinary team setting_
- _Ability to communicate effectively, prepare written reports, and display statistical data in easy-to-understand formats. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to professional and lay audiences. Ability to draft technical documents, involving analytical or interpretive descriptions_
