**Project Manager (Intermediate) - Steel Structure Project | 1-Year Contract | Newmarket, ON**

**Summary**
HMA Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Intermediate Project Manager to oversee a major steel structure project in Newmarket, Ontario. This is a one-year contract position that requires hands-on leadership, strong technical knowledge in steel construction, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project, from planning and execution to completion, while ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and client expectations.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to close-out.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, designers, and field teams to ensure proper execution of steel structure works.
- Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Proven experience managing steel structure projects, this is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of structural drawings, and fabrication processes.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to the Newmarket site as required.
