**Ocean import and purchasing administrator**

Working in the operation department and coordinating with the overseas purchasing team, the Ocean import and purchasing administrator is responsible for the administration of the purchasing orders and shipments that have been placed with overseas factories to arrive in our facilities or deliver to the customer in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain strong relationships with overseas factories and freight forwarders 
- Issue purchase orders based on inventory needs
- Organize the shipment of goods from overseas factories
- Negotiate terms with carriers or freight forwarders, and book vessels
- Prepare transport documents and coordinate with customs brokers for customs clearance
- Track and communicate shipment status with freight forwarders in real-time
- Coordinate with trucking company for containers delivering to dock on time
- Resolve issues including discrepancies, delayed arrivals and customs release
- Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders to ensure there are no discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Manage report gathering from various sources and ensure accuracy
- Other related duties as required

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business administration, or Logistics
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Mandarin speaking required
- Minimum 2-year ocean freight importing experience required
- Experience within the manufacturing industry or a supply chain environment is an asset
- Professional attitude and behavior
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.

Annual salary range: $50,000 - $55,000 + company benefits
