- _**About the Shoreline Cleanup Program**

The Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup has been running in one form or another since 1994. Every year we engage thousands of volunteers across Canada to cleanup their local community and collect data that helps us stop plastic at its source. Since the program began, there have been 30,542 cleanups that have collected more than 2.1 million kg of trash across Canada’s shorelines.

Addressing ocean plastic pollution is a job that will require governments, everyday citizens, businesses and not-for profits. We can only address this critical issue by working together.
