**Responsibilities**:
Operational Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the logistics branch, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources, timely deliveries, and effective inventory management.
Implement and maintain standardized operational procedures to enhance overall efficiency.
**Team Leadership**:
Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, including managers, coordinators, and drivers.
Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, and providing guidance to achieve performance targets.
Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the logistics team.
**Strategic Planning**:
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Collaborate with senior management to align logistics strategies with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Analyze market trends and technological advancements to identify opportunities for improvement.
**Customer Relations**:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their logistics needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Proactively communicate with customers to address concerns, provide updates, and solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
**Financial Management**:
Manage the logistics budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to assess the branch's financial health and make informed decisions.
**Compliance and Safety**:
Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations governing logistics operations.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure and accident-free work environment.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (A combination of experience and education will also be considered).
Proven experience in logistics management, with a successful track record in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of logistics processes, supply chain management, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in using logistics management software and tools.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
**Duties**:
- Oversee all operations and activities of the branch
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch goals and objectives
- Manage and lead a team of employees, providing guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor branch performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and profitability
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with other branches and departments to optimize operations and customer service
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate goals, provide feedback, and address concerns
- Prepare reports on branch performance, including sales, expenses, and customer satisfaction
**Skills**:
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in AS400 or similar inventory management systems
- Experience with forklift operation and warehouse distribution processes
- Knowledge of materials management, order fulfillment, and supply chain management
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions
- Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is a plus
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
