**THE OPPORTUNITY**
As part of the Lodges, Facilities and Operations Support team, this role is responsible for the day-to-day lodge and facilities operations which would include upkeep, maintenance, cleaning, snow removal/sanding and security of lodge(s). Support the set-up and smooth efficient operation of in-house social/special events in all seasons. Must be flexible with work hours to accommodate events such as early morning snow removal during the Winter and occasional evening special events. This role has a customer service focus towards members and guests. There may be times when this role will need to support Operations and will receive this direction from the Operations Manager.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Build and maintain relationships with other Club staff.
- Work closely with the Facilities and Development Manager to plan work that needs to be completed.
- Work closely with contractors to ensure the work is being completed on time and within budget.
- Support Operations department as required.
- Support daily buildings checks to ensure they are completed and alarms are properly set.
- Responsible for opening and closing routines of lodges and facilities i.e. doors and windows open in morning and locked at end of day and alarm set.
- Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs in Club buildings/lodges. Advise Supervisor when major repairs are needed requiring a contractor’s expertise.
- Support the maintenance of doors, windows and lighting in good operating condition and appearance.
- Support the collecting of garbage and recycling materials in Club buildings/lodges and disposing in appropriate bins.
- Perform lodge and facility cleaning and servicing as necessary during operations, i.e. washroom cleaning, spill clean-up in dining areas.
- Participate in scheduled inspections and record keeping, i.e. first aid kit and fire extinguisher inspections, furnace filter checks
Ski Season
- Interact and converse with members, guests and other employees in a friendly, courteous and co-operative manner. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards members, guests and other employees.
- Warmly greet and assist members and guests. Enquire if they have any questions or require assistance and respond in a professional, courteous manner.
- Must effectively communicate information to the member/guest concerning daily activities, social events or any other related information.
- Provide physical assistance to members and guests when required.
- Be prepared to work in and withstand cold and adverse weather conditions - dress appropriately for the conditions.
- Responsible for completing daily sanding and shoveling log, accurately, neatly and in the prescribed manner.
- Maintain fires in woodstoves and fireplaces and re-stock woodpiles in lodges. Fires to be monitored throughout the day and put out at the end of the day.
- Assist Events Administrator with set up/take down of special events in Club lodges, e.g. placement of tables/chairs, signage, decorations, etc., etc.
- Assisting with special events in Club lodges and overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the event.
- Assist with set-up of on-hill special events and transport of materials/equipment, e.g. sound system, tables, chairs, delivery of food/beverages, etc., ensuring appropriate safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Wear two-way radio at all times for communication with other personnel.
- Skis and snowboards left in ski slots outside to be put away at end of day.
- Lost and found articles to be delivered to Supervisor at end of day.
- Keep lodge fire exits clear and accessible.
- Perform all tasks safely in accordance with the Club’s health & safety policies and abide by Club policies and procedures at all times.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Hospitality experience would be an asset.
- Experience with customer service would be an asset.
- Ability to work in various/changing weather conditions.

- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform physically demanding activities e.g.,
snow shoveling, furniture moving, up and down stairs, standing for long
periods of time.

priorities.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess professional maturity and impeccable integrity.
