THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you looking for a fun role working with dedicated individuals. This could be it Reporting to the Facilities and Planning Lead, the Building Services Support is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and light cleaning, of assigned lodge(s). Facilitate set-up and smooth efficient operation of in-house social/special events. Assist other Building Services staff when needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact and converse with members, guests and other employees in a friendly, courteous and co-operative manner. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards members, guests and other employees.
  • Assist with the clean-up and maintenance of the Clubhouse and/or Lodge.
  • Maintain fires in woodstoves and fireplaces. Fires are to be monitored throughout the day and put out at the end of the day.
  • Assist events coordinator with set up/take down of special events in Club lodges, e.g. placement of tables/chairs, signage, decorations, etc.
  • Assist Catering staff when required.
  • Support special events in Club lodges.
  • Support the sound system, microphones, television and remotes at all times.
  • Keep lodge fire exits clear and accessible.
  • Lock up lodge at the end of the evening.
  • Helped to maintain paper stock and cleanliness of washrooms.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by your Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hospitality experience and/or ski Industry experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to work in various/changing weather conditions.
  • Perform all tasks safely in accordance with the health and safety policies.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be physically fit and able to perform physically demanding activities e.g., snow shoveling, furniture moving, up and down stairs, standing for long periods of time.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work individually and as a Team Member
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess professional maturity and impeccable integrity.
