Job Summary
Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, the Transitions Coordinator coordinates, runs, and evaluates the STEPS (Successful Transitions from Elementary to Post Secondary), OLTS (On-Line to Success), and other transition initiatives by the Regional Assessment and Resource Centre (RARC). The Transitions Coordinator assists in evaluating student documentation and determining eligibility for the programs. They conduct information/and training sessions for students, staff, and other individuals regarding RARC's transition programs and other best practices in transitions for students with special education needs. The Transitions Coordinator contributes to the content creation and development of the Transition Resource Guide website, EYES-ON-PSE transition program, and other transition initiatives. They assist in sharing in information, promoting projects and liaising with other partners such as MCU, MEDU, elementary high schools, post-secondary institutions, and other stakeholders. They assist in the coordination of STEPS and OLTS-based research projects at the RARC. The Transitions Coordinator participates in the recruitment and hiring process of transition team member, summer students, and practicum students, and supervises practicum students and occasional employees.

This position designs, develops, oversees, delivers, and evaluates academic resources including programs, workshops, training, and services for students and stakeholders. This position oversees projects related to the development of experiential learning programs and professional development. This position evaluates and researches comparators and best practices in student development and experiential learning. This position also directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.

The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work evenings and weekends.

**Job Description**:
**What you will do**:

- Designs, develops, oversees, delivers, and evaluates programs, workshops, training, and services for students and stakeholders.
- Oversees projects related to the development of experiential learning programs and professional development.
- Evaluates and researches comparators and best practices in student development and experiential learning.
- Builds partnerships and collaborates with departments across the university and with community partners to promote and implement programs and initiatives that support student success.
- Develops resources to support students' academic skill development.
- Develops program content for websites.
- Directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.
- Chairs and/or participates on committees.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.

**Required Education**:

- Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.
- in education preferred.

**Required Experience**:

- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.

Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
