Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to add to our team. In this role you will provide an exceptional experience for our clients. In the absence of our Store Manager, you will step into the position of a liaison between staff and ownership to ensure key daily store responsibilities are on track. The role is best suited for an effective communicator who supports the needs of the team and also reports to ownership on the value of their contributions.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Customer Service and Fulfillment**:

- Available for clients; in the absence of the Store Manager (SM) act as the store expert
- Support and add value to clients - oversee creation of looks and style suggestions
- In the absence of the Store Manager (SM), in the case of specific product questions, resolve client specific needs and interests. All financial decisions should be escalated to ownership
- In the absence of the Store Manager (SM), ensure each client has a Stylist assigned to them (ongoing store client pairings).
- Assess those needs and create looks for different styles, occasions and body types
- Make appropriate style suggestions
- Create complete looks from head to toe
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Other duties as required to support a growing business

**Team Support**:

- Support other team members in their day-to-day tasks (assisting customers, organizing inventory, store maintenance) to help them to achieve shared success in the business
- Cultivate a cohesive team and customer centric culture where every role and responsibility matters
- Together with the Store Manager, prepare store staffing schedule and manage resource availability of our team members
- Working with the Store Manager, assists on Social Media activities, including planning, content and reporting.

**Inventory Management**:

- Work with the team to assign duties such as unpacking and preparing inventory for the sales floor Inventory optimization and monitoring of inventory levels
- In the absence of the Store Manager, accountable for ensuring store levels and display are optimized and reporting to ownership of changes made
- Under the direction of the Manager Operations, when required, assist the

Inventory Specialist
- Physically fit and capable of handling different types of material weighing up to 30 lbs

**Store Maintenance**:

- Responsible for general store operations such as executing opening and closing checklists and implementation of relevant policies and procedures
- Take part in daily cleaning duties, this includes cleaning the floors, windows and bathroom areas and other light cleaning duties, as required
- All staff members are responsible for keeping the store in a clean and tidy state
- Collaborates with Store Manager (SM) on an ongoing supply list.

**Skills/Experience**:

- Post-secondary education is preferred, minimum high school education required
- Demonstrated style and design experience in clothing and/or fashion
- Excellent relationship management skills in order to serve our client and team needs
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills including listening, information gathering and judgement - always acting in the best interest of the client
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays (40 hours/week)
- Independent and able to solve problems and perform certain tasks without direct supervision
- Proficiency with MS Office and inventory software would be an asset
- Passion for the Fashion Industry

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Every Weekend

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
