**Assistant Manager (Full-Time; 5 Days/Week)**
**Compensation ranging from $24/hr**, and more (depending on experience), along with company-paid extended health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, after passing probation.
**Regional Recycling** is seeking a dedicated and dynamic **Assistant Manager** to join our team. This role requires someone with experience in leadership and team management, along with a strong understanding of administrative and warehouse operations. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in supporting daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows, and assisting with staff coordination. Responsibilities will also include overseeing customer service, supporting shipping and receiving tasks, and helping with inventory management.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR...**
- High school diploma or experience in recycling, waste management, or a similar environment.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with a diverse team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfortable using Android tablets and operating various equipment; forklift experience is an asset.
- Proven experience in retail management and team leadership
- Strong skills in customer service and sales management
- Proficient in POS systems and cashiering
- Experience with purchasing and pricing strategies
- Ability to negotiate and manage payroll effectively
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, both for yourself and others.
**WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR...**
In this role, you will work closely with the Depot Manager and assist with the following:
- Assist with daily depot operations, including managing staff, helping customers, and overseeing shipping, receiving, and administrative tasks.
- Provide guidance and feedback to the team to ensure excellent customer service and support their development.
- Ensure all staff are trained on safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment, enforcing safety standards and reporting hazards.
- Help with inventory counts, maintaining accuracy in operational tasks, and ensuring all documentation is properly completed.
- Perform administrative duties such as tracking daily transactions, preparing reports, and managing employee schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all recycling regulations and company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor depot equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any malfunctions.
- Work with the team to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and meet performance goals.
- Take on additional training and responsibilities as you grow in the role.
