Location: 1406 - Street, Surrey BC, Canada V3R 7C1 Email Address: Number of Positions: 1 Position Name: Restaurant Assistant Manager Duration: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: $27.70/hr Hours: hrs/wk Overtime: $41.60/hr (As per BC Standards for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/wk) Observed Holidays: As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca 10 stat holidays/yr Benefits: N/A Language of work: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years experience at supervisor level Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people Description: The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant including the selection, development, performance monitoring, and overall management of our employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food products and supplies on a just-in-time basis; effort to optimize profits by reducing waste, overhead, and controlling inventory timing; and basically, ensure adherence to laid down standards and client satisfaction. The Assistant Manager reports to the Manager and the Franchise President. Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in managing, planning, controlling and organizing the overall operation of the store Adhere to, and ensure employee adherence to company standards and service levels in order to increase sales and minimize costs Work with manager in creating staff schedules Assist manager in recruitment activities as well as training and development of existing staff Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues and help them to develop into proficient workers by providing them with ongoing feedback Motivate/encourage staff to achieve targets and keep track of activities Ensure that recipes/product directions for preparing, seasoning and cooking are followed Practice inventory control standards and inspects equipment and storage facilities to ensure that equipment is in proper working order Organize stock and equipment, receive and inspect supplies and oversee building maintenance, cleanliness and security Ensure safety and health compliance that is in alignment with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial/local laws and ordinances Plan and work with Manager to maximize profits and achieve sales targets set by Manager Perform conflict resolution actions as appropriate to the given issue (staff or customer) Assist manager in implementing branded promotional campaigns from head office, including the handling of point-of-sale promotional materials Work with manager in executing marketing campaigns Assist with planning of special events and promotions Keep the Manager and Franchise President up-to -date and fully informed of any and all issues and take prompt corrective actions where necessary and/or if the situation permits, offer alternative suggestions as to the appropriate course of action Perform administrative duties to ensure that all financials and other reports are completed accurately and submitted on time Please send resume to the above email address - We look forward hearing from you and advise that only those shortlisted will be contacted.
