**Summary**
The System Administrator is responsible for supporting and ensuring the high availability of TPGS network, on-prem and cloud infrastructure. This entails management and configuration of servers, workstations, security appliances and network equipment.
Responsibilities also include supporting and advising Help Desk team, interact with end users for support, access management, creating documentation, assist with project work. Someone with excellent communication skills and willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.
Skills: Windows Server and desktop Operating systems, VMware, Meraki, O365 and Azure, SQL data base
**What You’ll Do - The Role (Responsibilities)**
- Support Windows 2012 / 2016 Servers in VMware environment.
- Support Office365 productivity suite and Azure server infrastructure.
- Maintains the network infrastructure including all servers, firewalls, switches, and other equipment.
- Perform daily system monitoring, including verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Back up servers and restore data when required using Veeam backup solution.
- Oversees Antivirus protection for all computers and servers.
- Oversees patch management process for all servers and workstations.
- Manages user access, privileges, and security.
- Provide tier 3 support for escalated end-user hardware, software, printing, telephony, and
mobility issues.
- Create documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with the growth and development of the organization and the position.
**What You Need (Requirements)**
- University degree or diploma in an IT-related discipline preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a System Administrator or similar role supporting IT infrastructure for mid to large sized enterprises.
- Ability to troubleshoot across the Microsoft/Azure/VMware/Cisco stack.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience managing Dynamics GP and CMR infrastructure is an asset.
- Proven ability to simplify complex issues and communicate in a way which is easy to understand.
- In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
**Working Conditions (Requirement)**
- Some travel will be required.
- Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
- After hours support as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 30lbs may be required.
