**Description:
- Permanent Full Time- The Compliance Analyst is accountable for collection and reporting duties associated with the ITSM processes. The Compliance Analyst works closely with the process managers and process owners to ensure that timely, clear, and concise data is provided for each process. Canada Life’s control set includes but is not limited to SOX, COBIT and Canada Life managed controls. In this role your primary function is to respond, collect, analyze and deliver data to support internal / external audit and regulatory compliance activities.- In addition, this role will also help define and manage the internal audit of each process for now specifically (Incident, Problem, Change & Knowledge), but this may expand to others. Working with internal audit, process owners, technical risk they will collect evidence to support ongoing self-assessments are taking place.- Compliance Analyst Responsibilities-
- Contribute to the maturity of compliance activities related to the ITSM process (Inc, Pro, Chg, Knw).
Respond to and gather evidence to support internal & external audit requests.
Facilitate and co-ordinate internal self audits.
Track all audit & compliance work - flag risk’s, non-compliance, and any findings.
Make recommendations on improving compliance related processes and/or procedures as it pertains to the IT department and Identify opportunities for compliance control automation
Produce reports on compliance operations and any breaches or issues.
Develop actionable plans to remediate non-compliant areas and mitigate risks
- Requirements-
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with IT compliance programs
Knowledge of IT compliance frameworks, such as, ITIL, IT Service Management, ISO 27001, NIST, SOX, or COBIT or willingness to learn
Experience working directly with internal or external auditors for at least one of the listed standards. (previous external audit experience a plus)
Demonstrates the ability to organize information in a logical manner
Committed to delivery to tight timelines
Ability to effectively balance and deliver to competing priorities
- The base salary for this position is between **$60,000.00**:
- $109,500.00 **annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
