This position will be based out of our offices in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, or from our office in Mississauga, Ontario.

What You Will Be Working On- Support the Bird Industrial team in creating and submitting high-quality content, including building response templates, compiling materials, developing presentation content, and overseeing print production to meet bid requirements.- Write, edit, and proofread technical and non-technical content to craft clear, impactful proposals that align with corporate brand standards and business objectives.- Maintain and update the proposal database to ensure accurate project details are readily available for use in submissions, resumes, project profiles, presentations, and other marketing materials.- Lead and develop strategic responses for medium to large-scale proposals, ensuring all proposals adhere to compliance guidelines and client requirements.- Contribute to proposal strategy development, collaborating with the team to determine winning approaches for key pursuits.- Proactively write and lead key proposal sections, such as executive summaries, past performance narratives, management approaches, and tailored resumes/staffing sections for major pursuits.- Collaborate with and interview cross-functional teams to gather essential information and ensure all proposal inputs are comprehensive and cohesive.- Facilitate and lead proposal review sessions (Pink, Red, and Gold Teams) with mínimal supervision, ensuring high-quality outputs within set timelines.- Participate in the preparation of presentation and interview materials for proposals.- Support larger, high-impact pursuits, coordinating efforts, ensuring the successful delivery of submissions.- Assist with marketing and communications activities, including content creation for internal and external audiences (newsletters, brochures), and event planning.

What We Are Looking For- Degree or diploma in publishing, marketing, communications, engineering, business, or a related field.- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an emphasis on accuracy, quality, and messaging.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with the ability to learn new software quickly.- Experience in print design using Adobe InDesign is an asset.- Strong professionalism and client-focused mindset, with the ability to adopt the client’s perspective and understand their needs.- Ability to research and consolidate a wide range of technical and non-technical topics.- Flexibility in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with a proactive, creative approach.- Demonstrates urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines, with the capacity to handle pressure and challenges effectively.- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.- Strong written and oral communication skills.- High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
