**Summary**

The Group Controller will report directly to the Group CFO and be responsible for managing all Canadian and group-level financial and accounting functions.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax reporting.
- Coordinating and preparing internal financial statements.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, including CSE and tax compliance.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

**Experience / Education**
- Post-Secondary in Business Administration: Masters in Business Administration or CPA designation required.
- 7-10 years experience in a senior financial role, preference to individuals with public company, growth stage company and/or merger and acquisitions experience.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing and/or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities is considered an asset.
- Experience with Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR & ED) is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
